How to Get a Cowplant in The Sims 4

Obtaining a Cowplant in The Sims 4 adds an exciting and unpredictable element to your Sim's life. The Cowplant is one of the most iconic plants in The Sims series, and getting one in The Sims 4 is unlike any other task in the game. The unique growing process provides a new challenge, while also creating hilarious and awkward moments as your Sim gets munched on by a hungry plant. If you're ready to face the gauntlet of the Cowplant's challenge, here's how to obtain a Cowplant Berry in The Sims 4.

How to Grow a Cowplant in The Sims 4

To grow a Cowplant in The Sims 4, you first need to obtain a Cowplant Berry. The berry is the key ingredient in growing a Cowplant and is one of the few plants in the game that requires another plant to grow.

The easiest way to find a Cowplant Berry is by fishing at the small pond in Desert Bloom Park, located in Oasis Springs. Fishing for Cowplant Berries at the pond only takes a few in-game hours, so you can visit the park daily until you obtain one. If you have the Outdoor Retreat or Get To Work expansion packs, you can also fish in the Oasis Springs Pond or Lunar Lakes respectively. Keep in mind that you may need to travel back and forth between the park and your home lot.

Another method is to use the Gardening skill. Grafting Snapdragon with Dragon Fruits will yield Cowplant Berries. While it's possible to obtain a berry quickly by grafting, the number of Snapdragon plants you need to graft is astronomical compared to fishing for them.

The Sims 4 Rocket Ship DLC also introduces the chance of finding Cowplant Berries while exploring space. You can search for them in dirt piles using the 'Dig In Dirt' interaction, but the likelihood of finding a berry this way is incredibly low.

Once you have a Cowplant Berry, you can plant it on your home lot. The iconic plant requires regular watering and care to grow. Once the Cowplant has matured, you need to feed it every twelve hours. Failure to do so will result in the plant dying and needing to start over.

To feed the Cowplant, use the 'Feed Plant' interaction, which will display a cake-shaped tongue. Be careful, as naive Sims may be tempted to eat the cake. Use the 'Refuse To Eat From Mouth' interaction to stop the Sim from making a foolish decision. If a Sim is hungry and still tries to eat the cake, they will earn a negative moodlet. Eating from the Cowplant's mouth while the negative moodlet is active will result in the Sim being eaten by the plant.

Care for your Cowplant and avoid being munched on to have an iconic feature in The Sims 4. The Cowplant adds a hilarious and unpredictable element to your game, making it a must-have for any serious Sim player. Start your journey to obtain a Cowplant today and experience the joys and challenges it brings to your Sim's life.

With the right care and attention, your Cowplant could become one of the best houseplants in The Sims 4. Create a paradise for your beloved plant and make your Sim's home a true sanctuary.
