Forming a Romantic Connection
Before your Sim can get married, they need to form a romantic connection with another Sim. Interacting with the Sim in certain ways, such as on a date or at an event, can affect their relationship. Pay attention to the bold options in the chat box, which will raise your Sim's Romance Meter. When the Romance Meter is high enough, the "Ask to Be Boyfriend/Girlfriend" command will appear, allowing you to make the relationship exclusive.
Proposing and Getting Married
Once the relationship is exclusive and both Sims are unmarried, the option to propose will appear in the interaction menu. However, if you prefer to skip the formalities, you can elope immediately by selecting the 'Get Married' option on your Sim's romantic partner.
Planning a Wedding Event
If you want to plan a wedding ceremony, there are a few things to consider. First, bake a Wedding Cake from the 'House' menu. Ensure there is a bar and access to food at your venue for the guests' convenience. You can access a venue from the 'House' menu. Make sure you have spare invitations in case you need to invite anyone last minute.
When you're ready to tie the knot, click on your Sim's partner and select the 'Get Married' option. After a cutscene, you'll have the option to complete objectives and earn a bronze, silver, or gold medal based on the success of your event.
