The Sims 4 gets a free update in July 2023 with new customization options and bug fixes.

The Sims 4 receives a free update in July 2023 that adds new additions to the base game and various expansion content, alongside a range of bug fixes that should make your gameplay experience more enjoyable. There are some welcome new customization options for Sims and buildings, alongside some long-awaited fixes that should improve your gameplay experience.

The Sims 4 free update for July 2023 includes a variety of bug fixes for the base game and various expansion content, ranging from small improvements to significant changes that should enhance your quality of playtime. You can now customize your Sims’ eyes with new options for eyebrows and eye presets, alongside new eye bags that give your Sims a more realistic, tired look.

There are also some new color patterns for walls, ceilings, floors, doors, and fences, along with Indigenous hairstyles for both children and older Sims. There’s also a new cooking recipe called Three Sisters Chili, inspired by Native American tradition.

New customization options

New eye customizations include eyebrows and eye presets, alongside eye bags that can be applied to Sims that naturally sag under their eyes as they get older. You can also now pattern the ceiling tiles or by room.

There are also new color patterns for walls, ceilings, floors, doors, and fences, allowing you to better coordinate the color scheme of rooms across your entire house.

New hairstyles

Indigenous hairstyles have been added, representing the importance of flowing hair in Indigenous cultures. Indigenous hairstyles are available for both children and older Sims, featuring braids and headbands that reflect stylistic differences between Indigenous peoples across the world.

New recipes

There’s also a new cooking recipe called Three Sisters Chili, inspired by Native American tradition. Sims can learn the recipe by meeting a new NPC named Miki Nakazawa at the farmers’ market or by finding the recipe in the library.

New features

You can now take screenshots in Build Mode with the new Free Camera mode, perfect for sharing your most stunning creations with the community.
