The Sims 4 has a new scenario added to the game, titled “Family Fortune,” that sees your Sims battling for inheritance money. The scenario follows the Landry family and their wealthy matriarch, who is unsure if her grandchildren are worthy of her inheritance. There are plenty of goals and optional goals to complete, and you’ll need to manage your Sim’s money carefully if you want to engrave Nyssa’s urn and move on to the next stage of the scenario.
Starting the Scenario
You can start “Family Fortune” by upgrading your game to the latest patch, 120, and selecting the scenario on the home screen. The scenario is divided into three parts, each with goals and optional goals that you’ll need to complete before moving on to the next stage. Here are all the goals in “Family Fortune” so far.
Stage 1
Improve Nyssa’s mood by keeping her away from the grandchildren and letting her engage in fun activities alone.
Get the siblings to fight before a dinner party, then successfully get through the party without any fighting.
Throw a dinner party by using the phone icon and selecting “Plan Social Event” followed by “Dinner Party.” At the party, focus on having the siblings befriend each other, heal negative sentiments, and apologize to the grandmother.
Donate 10,000 Simoleons to charity by using the phone and selecting “Donate 10,000 Simoleons.”
Stage 2
Get a job for each sibling and earn 10,000 Simoleons.
To get a job, click on the briefcase icon and select “Join A Career.” Aim to get promoted in your chosen career by completing tasks listed in the career icon.
Heal the grandmother’s negative sentiments by encouraging positive interactions between the siblings and Nyssa.
Find a romantic partner for each sibling by inviting Sims over or going to social locations.
Burning 50,000 Simoleons of inheritance is necessary before moving on to the next stage.
Stage 3
Nyssa passes away, triggering a mourning period. Mourn her by clicking on her urn. Each Sim will receive an inheritance letter based on their relationship with Nyssa before her death.
Become best friends with each sibling and one of them should donate their inheritance to charity.
