A Twitch Streamer has her bag pickpocketed while streaming IRL, highlighting the risks of broadcasting in public spaces. Twitch streamer Jinny has her bag stolen while streaming on her IRL (In Real Life) channel on the platform. The incident happens as Jinny, who’s known for her authentic and real-time interactions, is walking through a European city.

The video, which is originally shared by Jinny on Twitter, shows the streamer walking along a busy street when her phone suddenly vibrates to indicate that her bag has been picked. Jinny immediately turns around and starts to run back towards where she was previously standing, but it’s too late – the thief has already made off with her belongings.

“Oh, my god,” Jinny says in shock as she realises that her bag has been stolen. “I just had my bag stolen. Holy shit.” She then calls out “they have my bag, they have my bag” repeatedly in the hopes that someone will be able to assist her.

Jinny is visibly alarmed and clearly frustrated by the incident. “This is the third time this has happened to me, and it’s the third time on Twitch,” she says. “I can’t believe it.”

While Jinny is able to film the immediate aftermath of the pickpocketing incident, the thief is not caught on camera. This means that there’s no way to identify them and they remain at large – leaving Jinny without her belongings and with no way of getting them back.

The streamer then urges her fans to be more cautious and aware of their surroundings. “I just want to warn everyone,” she says. “Always be aware of where your bag is and do not let it out of your sight. This is Europe; it’s very easy to get away with this.”

This is not the first time that Jinny has had her bag pickpocketed while streaming. She previously had it stolen twice while broadcasting on Twitch – once in the UK, and once in France, although it isn’t clear which of these incidents is being referenced in the aforementioned video.

Jinny shares clips on her IRL streams as she often partakes in adventures around different cities. She often interacts with locals and shares her experiences with her viewers.
