The Armored Core 6 beta is finally here, and with it comes a surprise that Armored Core fans have been waiting for. The FromSoftware sword, the Moonlight Greatsword, has made its way into Armored Core 6. It’s one of the most iconic weapons the Soulsborne studio has ever created, and it’s been present in FromSoftware games since its debut in King’s Field all the way back in 1994.

The sword first appeared in Armored Core as the LS-99-MOONLIGHT in 1997. It’s been in all subsequent sequels since, including Armored Core 6, and is best known for its appearances in the Soulsborne series, starting with Demon’s Souls as the Large Sword of Moonlight. It also appeared in Dark Souls, Dark Souls 2, Bloodborne, and Dark Souls 3 under different names.

You can see it in action in the Armored Core 6 beta below.

So there you have it, the FromSoftware sword in action. It’s pretty funny to see it in such a different context, but I guess that’s the joy of digging through game files. Whether or not you want to use it to fight Patches is up to you though.
