Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon

Armored Core 6 is apparently the longest game in the Action RPG series from FromSoftware, thanks to what appears to be a lengthy campaign and a lack of cutscenes. In a video highlighting some of the gameplay and features of Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon, YouTuber Fextralife shares some information about how long the game will last.

Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon is one of the most highly anticipated revivals in recent memory, with FromSoftware at the helm, putting its Souls experience to good use in building what looks to be an exciting new world. In the video, Fextralife shares some information about the gameplay, including that you can change the difficulty of the missions before you start them, and that there are no loading screens between locations.

The most interesting piece of information, however, is that Armored Core 6 apparently lasts a very long time. Fextralife shares that there are around 100 missions in the game, and that the first 11 took around three hours to complete, which sounds like a very substantial amount of content.

Whether this runtime refers to the average time players will spend with the game or whether it means you’ll need to complete everything in order to finish it is unclear. Considering the amount of praise the game has already received for its visuals and approachability, Armored Core 6 seems like it’s going to be a very good game to play, even if you don’t manage to complete everything.

Check out our Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon preview for more information about the upcoming game. We’ve also got guides to all the new factions in the game, and how the game’s multiplayer works. The game launches on August 25 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
