“story trailer” showcases hella cool Mechs in an epic three-and-a-half-minute cinematic, and it doesn’t even matter that the plot is a bit confusing. Bandai Namco’s latest Action game takes inspiration from the likes of the Souls games, with elaborate sequences that set the tone for the game, while showcasing its hella cool mechs.
While the trailer provides some narrative details, including pilots with numerical designations dying in a mission and the implication that you’ll be controlling pilot 621, the real focus is on the visually stunning animated sequences of mechs engaging in intense combat, firing missiles, dodging attacks, and being destroyed.
The somber music tries to evoke sadness, but it’s hard not to feel giddy while watching the action unfold. If mechs could get any cooler than this, it might be overwhelming. Get ready for an exhilarating experience. Don’t worry about the story; just enjoy the thrilling mechs doing dope shit.
