Unlocking the Fish Farm in Dave The Diver
Want to know how to unlock all of the Farming activities in Dave The Diver? These activities involve taking care of different types of farms to obtain goods like Fish, White Rice, Vegetables, and Seaweeds. The Fish Farm is the first one to unlock, but it requires progressing far in the main story and obtaining a special underwater light from Duff.
There are many ways to get the items needed for the Sea People Translator, and you may need to progress further in the main story to obtain all the items. The Fish Farm is the first farming activity, but is quite far along in the game. To unlock it, you need to locate a yellow shipwreck, defeat a giant monster, and retrieve a pink chest containing Leahs-Chan’s figurine, which grants you the underwater light.
Unlocking the Fish Farm
After obtaining the underwater light, return to the spot where Leah’s pink chest was and swim up to the surface. Head to the Bancho Sushi restaurant, which is located north of the dock and east of the first gas station. You should see Otto standing outside the restaurant. Talk to him, and he will ask you to make a specific dish called Moray Eel Curry.
The Moray Eels can be caught while diving at night. You can also obtain Turmeric by opening Cooking Pots underwater or dispatching staff members. Once you have all the required ingredients, put Moray Eel Curry on the menu at the restaurant and serve it to Otto. He will then ask you to meet him at the empty lot behind the restaurant.
There, you will find a small pool that opens up the rice farm. Eventually, this same pool will open the seaweed farm. Return to the Bancho Sushi restaurant and head to the back to find the rice farm. This farm initially has five crops of rice, but you can expand it by visiting Otto’s Shop. Crops in the rice farm require regular maintenance, including checking the FarmNow app for nutrition levels, removing weeds, and tending to withered crops.
Otto will eventually open the chicken farm, which provides two eggs daily. You need to reach the Sea People Village to unlock the final farm and obtain the Seaweed Seed. You can keep track of all of the farming activities in the Farm tab of the map.
Reaching the Sea People Village
Your goal is to reach the Sea People Village, which requires a lot of trust from the villagers. Progressing in the main story will eventually lead you to the Sea People Village. There, you will meet a VIP named Michael Bang, who asks you to cook a dish requiring specific ingredients.
After completing Michael Bang’s request, you can visit Otto the next day, who will open the rice farm in a pool on the left side. This farm initially has five crops of rice, but you can expand it by visiting Otto’s Shop.
