The Disney Lorcana Companion App

The Disney Lorcana Companion App is now live for iOS and Android, providing players with a wealth of features around the new trading card game from Ravensburger. The app allows you to keep track of your card collections, build decks, access how-to-play information and videos, and even receive news updates as the Disney Lorcana universe expands.

The app’s launch comes alongside the availability of the first batch of Disney Lorcana products, which will be hitting stores in the US and Canada from September 1. The full card catalog for The First Chapter is now live in the app, with all unrevealed cards included.

The app features include a card library, wish lists, deck building, a learn-to-play feature, news updates, and a lore counter. The team at Ravensburger Germany surprised the developers by adding a gyro-3D effect to showcase the holographic cards, and we can imagine that the app may expand with new features in the future.

“We wanted to make sure that the deck building experience was on par with what you’d expect from a great mobile game,” co-designer Ryan Miller tells us. “It’s an experience that, while simple, had to be an intuitive and easy way to put together your dream deck.”

Miller’s favorite feature of the app is the deck builder, followed closely by the gyroscopic foil effect, although there may be more to come. “We’re excited to see what other cool things we can add to the app as the game and lore continue to expand,” he says.

We’re currently in the midst of TheLorcanaWeek celebration by TheGamer, with tons of interviews, features, guides, and more available on our website. If you’re looking to get into the TCG for yourself, we’ve got everything you need to know about the first set of cards in our full review.
