How to beat the Green Magnus in Immortals of Aveum
The Green Magnus is a formidable foe and is the first boss you'll encounter in the game. During your first visit to the Pale Forest, you'll come across the Green Magnus, a fast-moving boss with troops at his command.
While the Magnus can be quite the dodgy foe, you’re also well equipped for the battle. Learn to use and counter the flexible power of Green Magic in this fight, as it will come in handy against other dodgy foes. This boss fight also sets the tone for what’s to come in the RPG game, so get started on your first big challenge in the open-world game.
The Green Magnus attacks with a squad of Nightblade Swordsmen and Archers, but the Construct fights on your side, drawing fire. Watch out for attacks from all angles and teleport to safety when your Shield’s energy is low.
When you’re ready to fight, equip the Green Sigil to break the Magnus’ Regeneration enchantments. The construct will attack the Magnus, drawing fire from the Nightblades. The Green Magnus will teleport regularly, so watch out for attacks from all angles.
If you get low on Shield energy, teleport to a different platform and wait for the Shield to recharge. Focus on one target at a time and remove Regeneration with Green Magic.
The Magnus will retreat to the back of the room, so follow him. Clear the Nightblades with Blastwave and Torrent, then remove Regeneration with Green Magic to allow you to focus on the Magnus. Once the Magnus’ Regeneration is broken, blast him with Immolate to quickly deplete his health.
This fight earns you the Lucian Stormshards, a powerful Green Sigil for short bursts of use. Collect dropped Gold and Essence, then open chests before moving on to the upper level. You’ll encounter other Green Magni throughout the game, so use the same strategy to defeat them. Mastering this battle will make it easier as you unlock more powers.
