Inland TN446 1TB SSD

The Inland TN446 1TB SSD is a slightly new and improved version of the TN436. The Inland drive shares a lot in common with the Sabrent Rocket 2230 4.0 and the Corsair MP600 Mini, but the new model uses TLC flash instead of QLC, resulting in better performance. The drive is somewhat similar to the Patriot Torch 4 and Patriot Torch 2, though Inland drives often stand out with their extra year of warranty.

The Inland TN446 1TB SSD is a solid choice for upgrading the internal storage of devices like the Steam Deck. I’d argue that it’d also be a great fit for the ASUS ROG Ally, as well. It’d be a welcome addition to either of those portable gaming rigs, especially considering it’s a better alternative to the TN436.

Priced at $49.99 for the 512GB capacity and $109.99 for the 1TB capacity, the Inland drive is competitive in its respective storage bracket. You can read more about the Inland TN446 1TB here.

Inland TN446 1TB SSD specs

Inland’s new SSD boasts impressive sequential read and write speeds of up to 4,900 MB/s and 3,700 MB/s, respectively. The drive also offers high random read and write IOPS of up to 900K and 600K, respectively.

Inland says that its new SSD provides gamers with “superior loading speeds and latency” when compared to traditional HDDs. While such a statement is difficult to quantify, there’s no doubt that the hardware offers a compelling option at the 512GB capacity and competes well with other options on the market.

Inland drives stand out with their extra year of warranty. Software and accessories aren’t included, but you can download free third-party applications like CrystalDiskInfo for diagnostics and SMART monitoring.

The TN446 features a compact M.2 2230 form factor with a single-sided design. It also utilizes the Phison E21T controller and Micron’s 176-Layer TLC flash. The hardware combination is popular in budget PCIe 4.0 drives and has become a favorite in the Steam Deck space.
