Hungry Hungry Hippos

Hungry Hungry Hippos, the classic game where you compete with your friends by eating marbles, is a kids toy that would be perfect for its own feature film. What would it be called? Hungry Hungry Hippos, of course. What would the story be? It would be about Hungry Hungry Hippos. Who would be in it? People who play Hungry Hungry Hippos.

These are just some of the questions that would need to be answered in a movie about this toy – a classic kids toy that deserves its own spotlight. Hungry Hungry Hippos is far from the only classic toy that could have its own movie, and we've put together a list of some of our favorites that would be fun to see in their own feature films.

The Pet Rock

This one is a bit of a stretch, but hear us out. The Pet Rock, a simple concept that sold millions, deserves a movie of its own. It would be a comedy for sure, but well deserved.

Mr. Potato Head

Okay, so Mr. Potato Head wasn't technically a toy (he was an accessory to one), but he's memorable enough to deserve his own movie. He was a prominent side character in the Toy Story Movies, and we'd love to see him in his own film.

Rock 'Em Sock 'Em robots

One of the most fun toys of all time, Rock 'Em Sock 'Em robots allowed kids to become the top boxer in their neighborhood. We'd love to see a thrilling movie with sparks flying.

The Fisher-Price Chatter Telephone

The Chatter Telephone is known from the hit horror movie Skinamarink, and the Fisher-Price toy would be perfect for a cute kid's movie with a bit of a spooky twist.

Cabbage Patch Kids

Cabbage Patch Kids are weird, but they were also very popular. A heartwarming movie following their journey from the field to their adoptive homes would be fun to see.

Sock Monkeys

Sock monkeys are simple, but they're also really cute. We'd love to see a movie about these cuddly creatures exploring the conflict and adventures that sock monkeys must face.

Furbies

Furbies are really odd and sometimes a bit creepy, but we'd love to see the odd little creatures in their own feature film to delve into their lore and mysteries.

Sea Monkeys

Sea monkeys (or "seamonkeys" as we all called them) were tiny shrimp-like creatures that many kids imagined as monkeys. They'd be fun to watch in a movie going from sea to home.

Green Army Men

Beloved by many for their battles on bedroom floors and in the grass, green army men deserve a blockbuster movie series of their own. We'd love to see a war movie about soldiers and comradery without the grim side.

Bunch O Balloons

These adorable little water guns from Party City are perfect for summer movie-watching.
