Pikmin 4 Dandori Battle Mode
Want to know more about the thrilling Dandori Battle mode in Pikmin 4? In this mode, you’ll compete against an opponent to see who can collect the most treasures within a time limit. Dandori Battles are ranked from one to five, with higher levels being more challenging. Winning is as simple as obtaining at least a bronze medal by the end of the battle, but it won’t be easy to achieve this while your opponent works against you.
The main objective of a Dandori Battle is to collect as many treasure pellets as possible. Some treasure pellets offer double or triple points, and you’ll want to prioritise them during your raid to maximise your points. You can use all your resources to obtain these Bonus Finds, but be mindful of when your opponent is collecting them. As you progress through the ranks, you’ll have less time to raid, making Bonus Finds even more valuable.
The Dandori Battle mode has its own unique rules, so you’ll need to find a balance between exploring the map and building your army. Use the Survey Drone at the beginning of each battle to explore the map and plan your route. The Survey Drone freezes time, which is invaluable when trying to plan your route. It provides valuable information about the battlefield, including the locations of enemies, treasure, and resources.
Pikmin 4 Dandori Battle Mode Tips
Place pins on the map for easy navigation on larger maps. You can adjust the pins by holding down the R button and rotating the controller. You can also place a pin at the top of the screen by pressing the Y button. This is helpful for placing a pin at the top of tall walls and towers.
Build your Pikmin army by collecting pellet posies. Begin by eliminating nearby monsters, then steal resources from enemy Pikmin once your squad is large enough. Focus on weaker monsters when your squad is small, then steal resources from enemy Pikmin as your squad grows. Use Oatchi strategically for tasks like digging up treasure, carrying objects, or tearing down walls. Protect Oatchi from enemy attacks and use your whistle to keep him safe. Defeat Moss, your opponent’s companion, to gain an advantage in the battle.
Let the enemy eliminate dangerous monsters and barriers, then swarm the carcasses with your Pikmin. Prioritise Bonus Finds, which offer double or triple points. Use all your resources to obtain them. Be cautious when using Ice Pikmin on frozen enemies – they’ll shatter and leave only nectar. Use the Idler’s Alert gear or the Command menu to gather stray Pikmin without wasting time running back to the onion.
