A rapture simulation game based on the book of revelations and demons in a post-apocalyptic Earth is suggested by players, with Death Stranding also thrown in.

A number of other players chime in and share their ideas, with some mentioning various games that already exist that could be similar based on the premise.

The user says they want to play a game where they control an angel and have the power to manipulate people and events, with the goal being saving as many humans as they can while battling demons. Another user mentions Death Stranding and how it could have been a similar concept.

“I’d rather see a game where the Rapture never happens, and the people left behind are forced to fight,” another user replies, referencing the idea of Christians asking God to let them stay on Earth and fight demons before being raptured.

“Wouldn’t the demons just eat them?” another user asks, with another replying, “They’d be more valuable as hostages to get more angels to come down.” One user shares their experience at a rapture reenactment event and how it felt like being in a movie.

Many other players mention various existing games with post-apocalyptic settings, such as I Am Legend, The Division, The Last of Us, and Days Gone. Some players say they prefer a scenario where a disease wipes out most of the world’s population, leading to urban exploration in a nature-dominated environment.

Others discuss the idea of a green apocalypse, where humans lose their dominance over the food chain. One user suggests an alien invasion scenario where animals gain higher intelligence and challenge humans for resources. Another user mentions the idea of aggressive animals and toxic plants as a cause for the green apocalypse.

The concept of animals becoming more intelligent, similar to Planet of the Apes, is brought up, with one user saying they’d rather see a game where animals gain higher intelligence and challenge humans for resources, rather than the other way around. Another user proposes a game set in a massive desert punk world, with arduous travel during the day and dangerous encounters at night.

“I’d play that,” one user replies to the idea of a global warming apocalypse game. Another user says they would play a life sim with the burden of knowing the planet is about to go cold and quiet. Another user says they’d like a game where the death of the sun is the premise, with the player knowing there is no way to stop it.

“A rogue-like where you start as a different character each time,” one user replies to that suggestion. You can join in on the conversation yourself with the official Subnautica Discord channel here.
