Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart Adrenalin Driver Update
A new AMD driver update is available for Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart to fix issues with the FPS game’s performance and stability. The update, which is available now via Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition 23.10.23.03, promises to resolve driver timeout failures and crashes on certain Radeon GPUs that have enabled resolution scaling and ray tracing effects.
Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart launched earlier this month, but it soon found itself in dire need of driver support. When enabling certain features in the game’s Radeon graphics settings, such as resolution scaling or ray tracing, the game would suffer from driver timeout failures and crashes. This issue affected the game’s launch, but you could still play the game without enabling those features.
Thankfully, it looks like the Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart team is putting the finishing touches on the first major update for the game. In addition to graphical issues, the team also released an update addressing driver problems separate from the ones fixed in this driver update.
This new Adrenalin driver update is specific to Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, so don’t expect any other updates or bug fixes. It also doesn’t appear to include any additional performance updates or support for any newly released hardware.
PC gamers playing other games shouldn’t expect any changes from this new driver version, either. If you’re experiencing problems with the previous driver version, however, this update should resolve any lingering issues.
