Skyrim with a Party of Fully Voiced Modded Followers

Skyrim, the open world RPG by Bethesda Game Studios, is known for its lack of reactivity to player actions. That is, unless you play with a Modded super-follower like Inigo, who has extensive commentary on various aspects of Skyrim and even converses with Lydia.

Inigo, a friendly blue khajiit, has a hidden past and is more than just a walking set of armour. He has been carefully designed to be more than just a typical follower, with extensive dialogue that reacts with various aspects of Skyrim, such as the College of Winterhold and the Thieves Guild. He even converses with Lydia, despite not technically being a follower.

This is just one example of a modded follower that adds a new level of immersion to Skyrim. Others include Vilja, an alchemist dreaming of becoming a bard, and Lucien, a scholar, both of whom have fully voiced dialogue that interacts with Inigo. Then there’s Serana, a vanilla follower that can be enhanced with a mod called Serana Dialogue Add-On, which expands her dialogue and makes her romanceable.

Each follower provides quest commentary and adds depth to the game’s narrative. Having a small army of these Followers with you at any given time enhances dramatic moments in the game, such as facing off against Alduin. It gets to the point where you get used to having them there, making fights just a little bit easier.

During the final battle with Alduin, however, you face the challenge alone. Once victorious, the heroes of Sovngarde return to fight alongside you once more. These modded followers offer increased reactivity and dialogue, creating a more immersive experience. The modding community’s collaboration has allowed for seamless integration of these followers into the game, despite them technically being third-party additions.

Upon returning to the land of the living, your followers have new dialogue. Inigo, for example, remarks on how much has changed since his death, and the others inquire about your success in the realm of the dead. This new layer of reactivity adds a new experience to Skyrim that will surely entice even the most play-it-by-the-book solo players.
