How to become a Champion Rider in The Sims 4 Horse Ranch

Want to know how to become a Champion Rider in The Sims 4: Horse Ranch? This new aspiration requires years of hard work to complete, and winning gold in the Master level competitions can bring in some serious Simoleons. Getting the lucrative job is the first requirement, but owning a horse is a necessity. We’ll take you through all the tasks you need to complete to reach the top of the equestrian sporting ladder.

The Sims 4: Horse Ranch introduces the Championship Rider aspiration, which sees your Sim ride horses to stardom by achieving Level Ten Horse Riding skill, competing in 15 horse competitions, and winning gold in five Master-level competitions. It’s a long journey, and you’ll need to care for horses, build skills, and work on your relationship with horses by riding them. The Horse Ranch expansion also adds a new career, the Rancher job, and the Rancher trait.

To become a Champion Rider in The Sims 4

To become a Championship Rider in The Sims 4: Horse Ranch, you need to own a horse and reach Level Ten in the Horse Riding skill. Horses need to be adults, not pregnant, and some traits make them easier or harder to train.

The most critical skill to build is Horse Riding, which needs to reach Level Ten to meet the requirements of the aspiration. Sims with the Horse Lover trait and traits like Self-Assured can help with training. The Rancher trait is also helpful for taking care of horses.

Where competitions take place is important, as you’ll need to enter them frequently. You can access Chestnut Ridge by travelling to the Meadowbrook Pastures and heading toward the big barn. Getting access to the location is one of the main goals within the The Sims 4: Horse Ranch expansion.

The competitions themselves are random, but your horse’s needs, such as hunger and tiredness, are important. If they’re too hungry or tired, their performance will be affected. Earning a living on your ranch allows you to have more time to train and care for horses.

Entering competitions frequently is necessary if you want to complete the aspiration in a reasonable amount of time. Winning competitions is somewhat random, but higher skills increase your chances. You can save scumming, a practice where you reset and try again for first place, if you want.

That’s how to become a Champion Rider in The Sims 4: Horse Ranch. For more on Horse Ranch, check out our guide on all the new horses, all the new traits, and all the new careers.
