Gex, the beloved platform game character, has made a return. I'm very happy about it.

I’m excited about the return of Gex. As a child, I played Gex a lot. I didn’t quite understand all the pop culture references, but I loved the platform games anyway. Playing the new Gex game reminds me of those moments when I was a kid, sitting on the carpet in my room with my little sister at my side, playing the game on our PS1. It’s like seeing the world through the eyes of Keith Richards.

I’m sure Dunkey will have something to say about this.

Anyway, many users are excited about the revival of Gex. “I’m so happy,” one user says. “This is the best thing I’ve heard all year.” Another says, “Gex is back, baby.” It really does feel like a blast from the 90s, with a touch of humour.

Some users discuss the possibility of a Battletoads game, as there hasn’t been one for a very long time. “I’m sure there’s a Battletoads game coming,” one user replies. “Just think, they’ll be able to do it with the Carbon engine.” Another replies, “There already was a Battletoads game. A couple of years ago. It was good. It captured the essence of the original.”

“Gex, Tomba, and Croc,” another replies. “It’s real.” Another replies, “Tomba is getting a remaster.” “Tomba,” another replies. “Tombi in Europe,” yet another replies.

Anyway, I’m sure Dunkey will have something to say about this.

“I remember playing Tomba on my PS1,” another replies. “I hope they do a remaster of Silhouette Mirage.” “I still have Gex and Gex 3 on my PS3,” another replies, with a screenshot of their PS3 games library.

Anyway, I’m sure Dunkey will have something to say about this.

So there you have it, Gex is back, and I’m excited. There’s also a lot of talk about Jazz Jackrabbit, another beloved classic platform game, so I’m hoping that’s not a fluke and we’ll see a lot more in the future.
