EA Sports FC 24: A New Era for Football Games
EA Sports FC 24 is gearing up for its big reveal later this year, as the sports game maker looks to kick off a new era for the company with its first football game separate from FIFA. In a new blog post, EA Sports gives us a first glimpse at some of the new features coming to its soccer game, including enhancements to graphics using next-gen tech and a new playing styles feature.
“Starting a new era. Creating a new legacy,” reads the opening line of the EA Sports FC 24 blog post. “It’s time for a new football game.”
EA Sports FC 24 aims to bring players the most realistic football experience yet, with the Frostbite Engine returning to enhance the look of in-game characters using Hypermotion V, making them “more alive than ever before” and bringing their movements to life.
A new Play Styles feature will showcase the individuality of players and capture their abilities on the pitch, while the Player Career and Manager Career modes receive some updates too.
There’s more on offer for Women’s Football too, with EA FC 24 introducing a new side to the traditionally male sport. You’ll now be able to field both male and female stars in Ultimate Team, with unique play styles available for each.
Elsewhere, Ultimate Team evolves player cards instead of requiring you to buy new packs, and Pro Clubs and Volta receive significant upgrades, with new playing fields and cross-play on the way.
There’s also a new season format for clubs, with an initial season starting in August 2020, and a mid-season break allowing for more competitions and special events.
EA Sports FC 24 is set for release in “late 2020”, so expect it to arrive in the autumn.
