Final Fantasy 14 Fan Fest reveals new expansion
Final Fantasy 14 Fan Fest reveals a new expansion, as well as the identities of two new DPS jobs coming to the RPG game. We've got the translations for these new job reveals, as well as a few fan theories sparked by the surprise Fan Fest showing.
In the wake of the Final Fantasy 14 Fan Fest, we've got a bunch of new information about the upcoming expansion, as well as two new jobs coming to the game. Director and Chief Producer 'Yoshi-P' teases job reveals with hidden clues on his shirt, while fans scramble to decipher the clues and predict the new melee and caster jobs.
New Final Fantasy 14 jobs
The Fan Fest showed off art for two new jobs: a pirate-themed melee job, and a scouting-based caster job.
From what we can tell, the pirate-themed job could be a dual-wielding melee class, based on the presence of Leonardo on Yoshi-P's shirt. The Turtles are known for their ninjutsu skills, which could hint at a scouting job for melee.
Here are the fan-theorised jobs for melee and ranged, respectively:
The theories for ranged classes are mostly rooted in the recent Green Magic reveal, so we're guessing maybe a Green Mage or Pictomancer.
Necromancer job?
There's also a fan theory based on the recent Necromancer job announcement, but we're not sure how serious anyone is about this one.
That's it for the new job reveals - we've got translations of them all right here.
