A new God of War game appears to be in the works, as a new job listing by Santa Monica Studio suggests the PlayStation 4 game is not quite done yet. Following the release of God of War Ragnarok, the developers at S.M.S. are looking to expand their team for an unannounced, most likely new game in the series rather than DLC. While we wait for an official announcement, this news does suggest that God of War is in good hands for the future.

God of War Ragnarok director Cory Barlog shared in a Twitter thread that a new God of War game is “not coming anytime soon,” as it usually takes PlayStation studios like Naughty Dog and Guerilla Games upwards of six years to develop games.
While this news confirms God of War is still being worked on, fans won’t be getting a release in the near future.
