Miles Morales and Sonic Mods in Bomb Rush Cyberfunk

If you're already hyped for Miles Morales and Sonic in Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, you're not alone. Just one day after the skateboarding game's biggest mod launch yet, a master modder has shared their own unique creations, and they look fantastic.

Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, a perfect fusion of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater and Jet Set Radio, is already home to a mod that lets you play as the Blue Blur himself. But the game's creator, SomnusNemoris, has now shared their Miles Morales and Sonic the Hedgehog creations, and they look fantastic.

The Morales mod, which resembles his Into the Spider-Verse iteration, sees the webhead grinding and pulling off tricks throughout New Amsterdam while evading the police. I'm not sure if the mod's police officers can actually arrest Miles (I'd imagine not), but they certainly try their hardest to stop him.

SomnusNemoris also added Sonic to the game, which you can see in the video below. I'm not sure how fast Sonic is supposed to be moving there, but the modder says that they're skating at '200% speed,' which is probably why Sonic looks like he's about to crash into a wall.

The mods have earned plenty of positive attention on Twitter, but it looks like they aren't yet publicly available for download. Still, if you're interested in having a Miles or Sonic avatar in Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, SomnusNemoris does accept commissions, so feel free to reach out if you're serious about the change.

In any case, the fusion of Bomb Rush Cyberfunk and characters like Miles and Sonic is absolutely delightful, and the mods pay a bit of homage to their respective franchises while fitting seamlessly into the game's aesthetic.

The work of SomnusNemoris highlights the creativity and talent of the gaming community at large, while also showing just how many people are hungry to get their hands on more customization options in Bomb Rush Cyberfunk. We're certainly excited to see what else comes out of the game's mod scene.
