Mortal Kombat 1
Mortal Kombat 1 will apparently have improved movement speed, with players sharing their reactions to the fighting game's latest build based on the Mortal Kombat 11 review build. The complaints around movement in Mortal Kombat 11 have been longstanding, and NetherRealm has addressed the concerns in its latest update, with players saying the improvement is 'significant'.
The movement speed in Mortal Kombat 11 has been a recurring point of feedback, with the game feeling slower overall than its predecessors. The sluggish feel has prompted fan comparisons to the famously slow Mortal Kombat 3 and Mortal Kombat 9 character Reptile.
NetherRealm responded to the ongoing feedback and said it was already working on increasing movement speed, but players have now confirmed the change in the latest update.
Pro player SonicFox, who has been streaming the game, says, 'The movement, as a whole, is just a lot more fast-paced now, it's a lot more fun, and it's more in line with what we expected.' He goes on to describe the movement as 'insane' and says he appreciates the addition of a dash block.
Twitter user BruskPoet, who has also been streaming the game, confirms the change as well, saying, 'The movement speed was really really fast in the beginning, then they slowed it down. Now it's picking up again.'
Series co-creator Ed Boon responds to the increased movement speed, saying, 'We are definitely listening to the feedback and making adjustments.'
Mortal Kombat 1's increased movement speed has been met with excitement among fans and players, with the fix seen as a significant change to the game.
