Reptile, Havik, and Ashrah Join Mortal Kombat 1 Roster at EVO 2023
Reptile, Havik, and Ashrah are confirmed for Mortal Kombat 1 at EVO 2023, bringing a big surprise for fans attending the fighting game tournament as the MK1 roster continues to expand. We’ve already seen Drahmin and Kobu join the roster for the latest Mortal Kombat game, but these returning fighters are a big surprise as developer NetherRealm Studios promises more MK1 news later this year.
The “Banished” trailer gives us a look at the latest fighters joining the Mortal Kombat roster. You can see each fighter in action in the trailer below:
Reptile returns after a long absence, after his last appearance in Mortal Kombat 11. The humanoid fighter can switch between his human and reptile forms during combat allowing for some interesting combos and a unique dynamic to his playstyle.
Ashrah is a new addition to the roster, wielding a sword, which should make her a unique addition to the fighting game. We’ve heard rumours surrounding her presence in the game for some time now, so her inclusion doesn’t come as too much of a surprise.
Havik hasn’t appeared since the 3D era, so his return is a big deal for fans of the series. The evil cleric fights using his prayer beads and his combat style revolves around regrowing his limbs, which add a gory and unique flair to his combat.
The announcement comes as a big surprise for fans at EVO 2023, with the roster of 24 Mortal Kombat 1 fighters now set to have three new additions. The gameplay shown for each fighter looks fantastic, and we can’t wait to try them all for ourselves.

The three new fighters add a lot of variety to the roster, with Reptile’s dual form as a human and a lizard adding a unique dynamic and Ashrah’s sword-fighting style setting her apart from the other fighters. We’ve seen some incredible designs in the latest MK game, and Reptile’s new tattoos are certainly no exception.
The announcement comes after Mortal Kombat 1’s gameplay preview at E3 2022, and just before the annual tournament EVO 2023. It’s set to be a big weekend for the fighting game, so be sure to follow our coverage here at PC Game Spotlight.
