A Mortal Kombat 1 fatality is one of the series’ most beloved. It’s a fan favorite all the way back from the first game, and it’s easy to see why. It’s a simple fatality that has only been used three times, and the first two times weren’t even in a main entry. The method of execution is so over the top that it’s difficult not to love it.
Mortal Kombat 1 Fatality: Cyrax's Earth-Shattering Explosion
This particular fatality comes from Cyrax, and it’s one of the better-known fatalities in the series, if not the most popular. It’s a bomb, guys. Cyrax emits bombs from his chest, causing a massive explosion that covers most of the Earth. The explosion blows up the entire planet!
This fatality only came back once more, in Mortal Kombat Gold. It wasn’t until Mortal Kombat 3 that we got to see it again, and then again in Mortal Kombat 1, making this one of the most memorable fatalities in the series.
So there you have it, one of the most over the top fatalities in Mortal Kombat history. We’ve been getting a lot of news about Mortal Kombat 1 lately, from Ed Boon appearing during Gamescom’s Opening Night Live to the reveal that Hanzo will be in the game in an unexpected way. We’ve also got a first look at Sindel, and the Elder Gods are still around, but why?
