Mortal Kombat 11's Roster Size
Mortal Kombat 11 will have a full 24 characters, as story director Dominic Cianciolo confirms the fighting game’s roster size in an interview. With 15 fighters already revealed in Mortal Kombat 11, two spots remain unknown – leaving fans speculating and hoping for their favourite fighters. Now, we know for certain that we’ll see all 24 fighters in the main story, and we’ll likely see more revealed at EVO later this month.
“The roster size is 24, with 15 already revealed and nine yet to be confirmed,” Cianciolo says in an interview with GamesRadar. “The challenge is in finding ways to give each character enough screen time and make their stories engaging. Pre-fight banter and ladder endings will help, but we have some big ideas that we’re not ready to share yet.”
The nine fighters yet to be confirmed aren’t necessarily in contention for the final spots, although Cianciolo’s comment about not sharing “some big ideas” suggests there will be more character reveals at EVO. There are also plenty of fighters that we know are coming based on previous trailers and rumors – namely the likes of Jade and Sonya.
