Asus ROG Swift OLED PG34WCDM: A New Standard in Gaming Monitors
Asus has officially announced its latest gaming monitor, the ROG Swift OLED PG34WCDM, which enters the ring as the company’s most impressive gaming display to date. The 34-inch curved ultrawide display boasts a 240Hz refresh rate, low response time, and high resolution, making it a force to be reckoned with in the world of gaming monitors.
Asus’ ROG Swift OLED PG34WCDM sets a new standard for gaming monitors by offering a curved ultrawide display with 3440x1440 resolution and 800R curvature. This ultrawide gaming monitor packs a lot of punch, with a refresh rate of up to 240Hz paired with Nvidia’s G-Sync technology, making it a dream for gamers looking for speed and immersive visuals.
The PG34WCDM features a 0.03ms response time, a statistic which is unheard of for OLED panels, meaning you can expect buttery smooth visuals even when playing fast-paced games. The IPS panel boasts a peak brightness of 1300 nits, which is considerably higher than most LCDs on the market, giving the display an added boost of vibrancy and clarity.
The monitor is equipped with a custom heatsink to prevent burn-in occurrences, which is a common issue for OLED screens. Asus says the monitor’s “swirling pattern” will prevent any static figures from appearing on the screen, even if you leave a static image on for extended periods of time.
The new ROG monitor also has a wide array of ports, including DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.1, and USB Type-C, meaning you can connect multiple devices at the same time and even draw power from the monitor using USB Type-C. If you’re looking to use the PG34WCDM as a central hub, its ‘smart KVM’ feature allows you to control multiple devices using one set of peripherals.
Meanwhile, USB 3.2 connectivity enables fast file transfers between connected devices, letting you quickly move files between your PC and gaming console using the monitor’s handy array of ports.
Asus hasn’t yet disclosed the price or availability of its new monitor, though we’re expecting it to be a pricey offering thanks to its unique capabilities.
