Grab the ROG Ally today, but not if you’re in Australia

The Asus ROG Ally is now widely available for users who want to boost their gaming experience on the go, but if you’re in Australia you may want to sit tight as the Steam Deck competitor is flying off shelves.
While the Steam Deck hasn’t yet been made officially available in Australia, there’s at least been availability through third parties, allowing Australians to pick up Valve’s handheld. In stark contrast, all regions already have the ROG Ally, but the handheld has already sold out in Australia via Asus’s own store.
While in some ways this is indicative of greater demand for the Asus device compared to the Steam Deck, making it harder to obtain, it also speaks to a greater availability. As the ROG Ally is much easier to obtain in most places, there’s less motivation to grab as many of them for the second-hand market, unlike Valve’s Steam Deck which has yet to reach official availability in Australia.
Asus ROG Ally available in US, UK, and Australia
According to Asus, pre-orders for the ROG Ally have already been shipped off to customers, as the company confirms that it’s now readily available to buy in the US, Australia, UK, Canada, Germany, and France.
This first wave of the Asus handheld has already sold out in Australia via the Asus store, with the company confirming that that second wave will arrive “later this month”.
This also puts it in stark contrast to the Steam Deck, as Australian customers won’t have to jump through various online and third-party retailers in order to get the Valve device.
