The Lian Li Galahad II Trinity Performance

The Lian Li Galahad II Trinity Performance is a capable 360mm AIO cooler that arrives at a time when the market is flooded with options. However, the cooler’s upgraded designs for every part of the cooler, including the radiator, fans, and liquid pump, make it a compelling choice for anyone looking to cool their high-end CPU.

The Lian Li Galahad II Trinity Performance arrives in a box that’s similar in size to other coolers in its class, with minimal branding and a clear view of the cooler within. It’s well protected with plastic coverings, foam, and molded cardboard, so it arrives in pristine condition.

Installation on our LGA 1700 system is surprisingly simple, with pre-installed fans that make it a cinch to get going. The Galahad II Trinity Performance features a universal backplate that makes it compatible with every size of DDR4 and DDR5 DIMM, and it includes rotatable fittings that allow you to install the tubes in any direction. The block itself includes pins to secure it to the motherboard, and the whole process takes a matter of minutes.

The Galahad II Trinity Performance features upgraded fans that are specifically designed for liquid cooling. The fans boast strong static pressure and airflow, and they’re surprisingly loud when they spin up to full speed. The AIO includes a toggle switch to switch between full performance and low-noise modes, but even in the latter mode, the fans are noticeably loud.

The CPU block has been improved compared to the Galahad II’s, with rotatable fittings for easier installation in any direction, as well as three lighting configurations that can be controlled using optional software. The AIO’s water block has a large copper contact plate that’s been refined with improved skived fins that offer better heat dissipation than the previous Galahad.

The Galahad II Trinity Performance’s radiator is a whopping 32mm thick, which enables it to handle the heat from high-end CPUs like our Intel i7-13700K. The AIO uses wide tubes that are considerably thicker than those found in cheaper options and are protected with fine sleeving that ensures they don’t kink or cause any leaks.

The Galahad II Trinity Performance is compatible with all sizes of DDR4 and DDR5 DIMMs, and Lian Li includes a space for an optional 32-bit memory card that enables the processor to use the second ranks of RAM. The cooler’s mounting plate includes a trench that helps to improve coolant flow and enables the AIO to perform at its best.

In terms of pricing, the Lian Li Galahad II Trinity Performance sits at the premium end of the spectrum and will likely prove out of reach for many. However, if you’re looking for a high-end AIO that ticks all the boxes, it’s certainly worth a look.

Cooling performance is always subjective, as it can be affected by factors such as case design, which fans you’ve installed, and even the bending of your motherboard. We aim to provide the highest level of objective testing possible, but our results may differ from your personal experience.
