MSI GeForce RTX 4060 Graphics Cards: A Stunning Design

MSI has launched its new custom GeForce RTX 4060 graphics cards, offering a sleek design without excessive RGB lighting. These stunning graphics cards, sent over by the company ahead of their June 29 launch, look far more seductive than the handful of rivals with full-spectrum RGB lighting. The obvious benefit over these basic options is that you won’t need extra software tools to enable or disable the accent LED effects on this elegant colourway.

If you are looking to jump on the RTX 4060 bandwagon, MSI offers variety with two seemingly subtle variants featuring different cooling setups. The Ada Lovelace GPUs are available for $299 and will be available for purchase on the same day less than a month after the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 release date, competing with other top graphics cards on the market.

MSI Gaming 8G

Starting off with the slightly larger of the two models, the Gaming 8G features an all-black exterior with a corresponding backplate. There is a small degree of asymmetry in its overall design, as this card boasts a two-slot design and looks noticeably thicker than some other contenders on the market. Still, we won’t hold aesthetic judgement against it, as it still manages to look like a stunner. The aforementioned thickness certainly makes sense when you consider that this variant features the same Twin Frozr 9 cooling solution as other RTX 4060 models up to the RTX 4060 Ti variant. Accordingly, it’s packed with high-spec components throughout, including a nickel-plated copper base plate and two Torx 5.0 cooling fans.

Ventus 2X Black 8G

The Ventus 2X Black 8G has a much more understated cooling system. In spite of this, it still manages to boost at the same boost clock speed of 2,475 MHz despite only using two quieter Torx 4.0 fans. Of course, you’ll have to sacrifice some overclocking capabilities for the attendant silence, as the overclocked models boast higher speeds of 2,505 MHz and 2,610 MHz.

What’s perhaps most impressive, however, is just how many output options both versions offer. The Gaming 8G utilises three DisplayPort 1.4a outputs and one HDMI 2.1a port, essentially allowing you to connect four monitors to your PC at once by utilising a conveniently included DisplayPort splitter. The Ventus 2X Black 8G brings this figure down to two DisplayPort and one HDMI, but is no less impressive for it.
