New Intel low-profile graphics cards coming soon

Sparkle's new Arc A380 and A310 graphics cards are coming soon, with dual-fan cooler designs and good performance figures. The Genie series graphics cards are coming from Sparkle, and they include the Arc A380 and A310. These low-profile options will likely appeal to anyone with an aging system that only supports low-profile PCIe cards, as they’ll offer a good way to boost GPU performance.

We already know that the Arc A380 is a solid performer, especially in regards to its power consumption, but the A310 is a bit more of a surprise. I wasn’t expecting it to be such a good option, especially considering the GT 1030 it’s based on.

At first glance, the A310 seems like a cut-down ACM-G11 die, with 6 enabled Xe cores, 4GB of GDDR6 memory, and a 64-bit memory bus. However, it’s actually based on the GPU that powers the GeForce GT 1040, and it features the same generational improvements as the A380.

Sparkle A310 graphics card specs

Here are the Arc A310 graphics card specs:

  • 6 Xe cores
  • 4GB of GDDR6 memory
  • 64-bit memory bus

Good performance is always welcome, especially when you’re talking about the entry-level GPU segment. Compared to the previous industrial low-profile A310 graphics card from Sparkle, this one offers a good boost.

The lack of a release date is a bit disappointing, as it’d be nice to see these new graphics cards pop up sooner rather than later. However, if you’re looking to stay on the cutting edge, these new low-profile options are worth keeping track of.
