The VRLA Tech Titan: A Powerful 40-Series Gaming PC

Following our review of the VRLA Tech Titan, we have selected it as our editor's pick for the month when it comes to 40-series gaming PCs. Packed with the Nvidia RTX 4070 and AMD Ryzen 5 7600, this PC offers a compelling combination of performance and affordability. With a competitive price tag of $1,561 (currently $1,592), it's already an excellent deal, and the additional $125 discount at checkout makes it even more enticing.

Aside from its attractive pricing, the VRLA Tech Titan delivers an impressive overall package. While there are some minor complaints, they do not overshadow its appeal as a gaming and productivity powerhouse.

It's worth noting that the price of the VRLA Tech Titan has slightly increased since our review was published. This is due to the temporary unavailability of the white chassis, which was used for our build. However, the black chassis is still in stock, and you have the option to add it during the checkout process.

VRLA Tech Titan Specs

The VRLA Tech Titan boasts the following specifications:

  • Nvidia RTX 4070 graphics card
  • AMD Ryzen 5 7600 processor
  • SSD for fast storage
  • DDR5-5200 memory for reliable performance

While the GPU alone contributes significantly to the cost, the rest of the machine is no slouch. The Ryzen 5 7600, in particular, offers exceptional gaming performance with its six cores and 12 threads.

During our testing, the RTX 4070 reached a maximum temperature of 71°C, which may benefit from an AIO cooler for optimal performance. The CPU peaked at 85°C, indicating the potential for an aftermarket cooler. Nevertheless, these temperatures fall within the normal range.

In the games we tested, the Nvidia RTX 4070 handled its workload admirably. It effortlessly ran games like Far Cry 6 and Metro Exodus Enhanced at 4K, Ultra graphics settings, achieving an average frame rate of around 70FPS. Even at 1080p, it can fully utilize a 120Hz gaming monitor without compromising on visual quality.

VRLA Tech Titan Verdict

Considering its price point, the VRLA Tech Titan offers exceptional value for your money. While the included SSD may not be the fastest, it still provides excellent load times and ample storage space for AAA games. The DDR5-5200 memory ensures reliable performance, although extensive modding in games like Cities: Skylines may pose some challenges.

Overall, the VRLA Tech Titan stands out as a gaming and productivity powerhouse, making it an attractive option for a primary PC. Whether you're purchasing a gaming PC for yourself or as a gift for a friend or family member, it's difficult to find a better choice at $1,561.
