Star Wars Outlaws
When is Star Wars Outlaws release date? It’s been a long time coming, but the Open-world game is finally here, and you don’t have long to wait.
Star Wars Outlaws is real, and it’s been in the works for years. Ubisoft first pitched the open-world game just before the pandemic, in late 2019. It was unveiled this summer, but its existence was confirmed all the way back in January 2021. Now, with a release window on the horizon, here’s everything you need to know about Star Wars Outlaws including its release date, story, and gameplay.
Star Wars Outlaws release date
Ubisoft hasn’t provided a specific release date, but it’s aiming for 2024. The game is expected to release this year, but it’s unlikely that it will arrive before the autumn.
Star Wars Outlaws story
Outlaws takes place in the years between A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back. The game’s opening sees Cal Kestis and his droid BD-1 land on Jedha, where they meet the Outlaw Sabine, a member of the Red Moons gang. Players will have the choice to help or harm local gangs, with bounty hunters pursuing them if they make enemies.
The developers have promised that nothing in the game will be procedurally generated. This means that Star Wars Outlaws’ world is expected to feel interactive and purposeful, avoiding the criticism faced by some Ubisoft open worlds, which can feel soulless and empty.
Part of the developers’ goal is to make the world feel like a real place, handcrafted with care by expert level designers. The team has spent a lot of time on the game’s overall design, ensuring that the world feels immersive, interactive, and purposeful.
