Twisted Metal: Season 1 Review

Will you watch the Twisted Metal TV show? Judging from the reviews, opinions are mixed. The horror game turned car combat game turned TV show is a hit for some, but an average show for others. With a lot of flashy action and good comedy, it’s a mishmash that delivers. At least, that’s what we think.

With its campy tone, over-the-top violence, and excellent comedy, Twisted Metal: Season 1 is a good show for fans of the game. The humor and cheesiness are just right, delivering a very satisfying experience. Cars with guns, intense action, and good comedy. What more could you want? Oh, and more beloved characters are on their way for the second season, so there’s that, too.

Anthony Mackie’s portrayal of Will Smith is spot-on, and I found myself enjoying his on-screen presence. The action scenes, however, disappoint some users, who feel that the show lacks the excitement and intensity expected from a car combat show. I don’t share this opinion, but I do understand where they’re coming from.

While I enjoyed the show’s first season, I do have to admit that some jokes fall flat, and the plot is quite thin. Some users recommend another show instead, as this one lacks a well-defined direction. Others urge for a more serious approach, which would fit the games but not necessarily the show’s tone.

However, the characters from the game are well played, and the references to the games are appreciated. The show does justice to the character of Sweet Tooth, portrayed by Will Arnett, and I can’t stop humming the theme song. If you’re a fan of Arnett’s comedic roles, you’ll enjoy his interpretation of the psychotic clown.

Where can I watch Twisted Metal?

Twisted Metal itself is available on PlayStation Plus as a subscription service, but you can also watch it on Peacock.

So there you have it, a review of the Twisted Metal TV show. While some users wish for another Twisted Metal game to accompany the show, the classic games have been added to PS+ Premium, so you can enjoy them all in one place.

If you’re not willing to subscribe to yet another streaming service, you can wait for the show to become available on another platform. Don’t forget that you can also watch The Last of Us: Part 2 on the best PS4 games console, even though the follow-up to one of the best games ever made isn’t quite as good as its predecessor.
