Want to know the main differences between the mobile and PC versions of Vampire Survivors?

While the survival game has over one million downloads on Android, the PC version boasts more features and options, from more control options, to the ability to mod the game.

Vampire Survivors mobile vs PC differences

There are a few main differences between the two versions of Vampire Survivors. Most of these will come down to personal preference, but some of the key points include:

  • We’d argue that co-op play requires two controllers on PC, but on mobile it’s played in landscape mode. While crowding around a monitor is easier, we find that a phone screen isn’t ideal for multiplayer games. Since PC players receive updates earlier and more frequently, the co-op update actually dropped on Android before PC.
  • Joining the Beta is easier on Android. PC players get more detailed update information, but will have to purchase the game. Mobile players have the benefit of integrated ads, which can be used to progress faster in the game, but are optional if you prefer to play without microtransactions.
  • While many of the above differences are minor, the control options on PC really make the experience feel like a different game. PC players can use a joystick, while mobile players are limited to the touchscreen format. We wouldn’t say that one is necessarily better than the other, it’s more about what you’re used to.
  • The Vampire Survivors map is a great feature that we’re sad isn’t present on mobile. While it’s easy to lose track of where you are in the large sandbox game, the map would make it much easier to find any relics that you may have missed. PC players also have access to a bestiary, which tracks all of the enemies you come across, while mobile players don’t have access to this either.
  • The PC version of Vampire Survivors also allows for modding, which can improve the experience in many different ways. Whether you want to make the game easier or harder, or improve performance, there are Vampire Survivors mods available to suit your needs. Mobile, on the other hand, doesn’t support modding at all, which is a bit of a shame.

That’s all we have for the main differences between Vampire Survivors mobile and PC versions.
