The Dragoon's Crystalline Conflict abilities are:
Strategy
The Crystalline Conflict mode is a 5v5 battle where teams fight over control points. The objective is to capture three control points before the opposing team. If a control point is not captured, it becomes contested, allowing the opposing team to attempt a capture.
In this mode, high-damage combos are crucial. The goal is to deal as much damage as possible, as quickly as possible. However, it's also important to be a nuisance to the enemy team, forcing them to waste time moving around instead of capturing control points.
Your default rotation should focus on dealing damage and buying time. Save your MP for cooldowns and MP-regenerating abilities, as maintaining MP-consuming buffs is not sustainable. Wait for an opportunity to use Nastrond and then use your MP-regenerating abilities to restore your MP to full.
The full combo maximizes damage output, but it's not always the optimal choice. Consider the opponent's team composition, available buffs, and your team's strategy. For heavily armored enemy teams, it may be better to avoid using Chaotic Spring. If your team has a summoner or dark knight, utilize Fang And Claw to apply the Dark Mark debuff.
Nastrond's potency doubles when the opponent has 50% health or less. This combo does not include High Jump, which means you cannot use Elusive Jump for a quick retreat. In desperate situations, Elusive Jump can be used to set up devastating combos.
This combo only works if the opponent has debuffs from Fang And Claw and Wheeling Thrust, which is why using Wheeling Thrust Combo at the end is crucial. It's also worth noting that High Jump grants the Heavensent buff, transforming Wheeling Thrust Combo into Heavens' Thrust. Heavens' Thrust deals massive damage and can be used under specific conditions: your opponent must be afflicted with at least one debuff, and you must have MP remaining.
Wheeling Thrust Combo typically deals the most damage, but High Jump makes it easier to land combos by positioning yourself out of your opponent's reach. High Jump also grants the Heavensent buff, increasing your damage dealt and suffered.
Wheeling Thrust is a potent attack that is best used to buy time. Utilize Elusive Jump to move out of your opponent's reach, then use MP regeneration cooldowns to return to the fight. Alternatively, you can use this combo: Elusive Jump > High Jump > Wheeling Thrust. After this combo, use your MP-regeneration cooldowns. The damage dealt is worth it.
Horrid Roar is a defensive ability that reduces damage dealt to you by 50%. Use it when you're being focused or under pressure from powerful mages or summoners.
Nastrond and Heavens' Thrust are powerful abilities, but they are situational. Use Nastrond when fighting opponents with low endurance, and only use Heavens' Thrust if you can guarantee the full combo.
Wyrmwind Thrust deals more damage the further you are from your opponent. It's ideal for buying time and dealing damage, but it's also an excellent combo starter. If you use High Jump > Elusive Jump, you'll end up right next to your opponent, allowing you to use Wyrmwind Thrust and follow up with High Jump > Wheeling Thrust.
