Red Alert 3
Red Alert 3 is easily one of the most enjoyable RTS games out there, and we believe that the high-quality Voice Acting is a big part of the reason why. The casting choices are listed below, with Tim Curry, George Takei, JK Simmons, and Jonathan Pryce among the top actors appearing in the game. Curry, in particular, stands out with his over-the-top yet enthusiastic performance as Premier Cherdenko, which some of you mention below, along with other memorable performances from the actors. Some of you point out that Curry’s commitment to his roles extends beyond Red Alert 3, citing his performances in movies and TV shows. Curry’s ability to hold back laughter while delivering lines is also a key factor, as it enhances the entertainment factor, along with his talent for playing menacing yet entertaining characters.
Over on the other side of the pond, GTA III: Vice City and San Andreas also had exceptional voice acting casts, and there’s some discussion around whether it was as expensive to hire these big names. The radio DJs in the GTA games are also mentioned, as they too contributed to the high-quality voice acting.
Best Red Alert 3 Voice Actor Moments and Performances
While some of you think that the actors’ performances weren’t a deciding factor in purchasing Red Alert 3, the memorable quotes and performances from the actors listed above demonstrate that the investment in their talent was worth it.
In our experience, the humor and campiness of Red Alert 3 is enhanced by these performances, so it’s safe to say that this RTS game is unlike any other when it comes to the actors behind the voices. GTA III: Vice City and San Andreas also had exceptional voice acting casts, which we’ll undoubtedly revisit in the future, so stay tuned for that.
In the meantime, we’ve got a list of the best GTA radio stations and all their memorable moments. There’s also an interesting debate about whether voice actors are paid differently from traditional actors, and the decline in quality of the chat shows in GTA 4 and 5.
