Red Dead Redemption PS4 and Nintendo Switch ports disappoint fans

Red Dead Redemption PS4 and Nintendo Switch ports are here, and they’re a bit of a letdown. While the remaster of the Rockstar Games Western RPG game is a welcome addition to the store shelves, the pricing of a new bundle between both games is causing a bit of a stir among fans, as it costs $40 for the first game, and $100 for both. The pricing is a letdown given the high demand for a Red Dead Redemption remake or remaster, and many fans feel that $60 would have been a more reasonable price for the bundle.

For those looking to play Red Dead Redemption on PS4 or Switch, the port itself is fine, albeit with slight visual enhancements if you’re playing on a big screen. But the pricing of both the port, as well as a bundle including both Red Dead Redemption and its sequel, will likely put a lot of people off.

There’s no real bundle discount, as buying the games separately would still cost $100. The price tag is just $40 for the port, but even that feels a bit high for what is essentially a six-year-old remaster. And then you get Red Dead Redemption 2 for $60, or $100 for both. It’s just a bit odd.

In my opinion, I think this bundle should cost $40 for Red Dead Redemption and $30 for Red Dead Redemption 2. This would be a reasonable price for the games and make the bundle itself seem like a value. $100 for the bundle seems odd to me; bundles are usually meant to be better deals.

The Red Dead Redemption PS4 bundle is priced at $80 ($40 for the port, +$40 for Red Dead Redemption 2). Nevermind how much it costs to develop a game, this is two highly polished AAA games we're talking about and it costs more than buying both separately? Insane.

$80 for Red Dead Redemption and Red Dead Redemption 2? That’s $40 for the port and $40 for the sequel. So basically it costs the same to buy the port and the sequel separately. And that’s just the base game. No remaster or remake. Just the two games. $80.
