Red Dead Redemption PS4 and Switch re-release

The Red Dead Redemption PS4 and Switch re-release isn’t what you were hoping for. After Rockstar pulled the cowboy game from PlayStation’s streaming service, fans hoped it would be given the same treatment as GTA 5. Instead, Red Dead Redemption is coming back to PlayStation but with little improvement, meaning it’s still the same old port from years ago.

“It’s not a remake,” you might reply, “it’s a re-release.” That’s true, but a lot of Red Dead Redemption players are disappointed by what is essentially a 13-year-old game being brought back to Sony’s current console. Some even go as far as to say the high price reflects Rockstar’s business practices, which have fallen from grace in recent years.

Red Dead Redemption PS4 and Switch release date

Red Dead Redemption PS4 and Switch release date is May 15. The Western game is coming to both consoles as a separate download, with the price set at $49.99.

Many users express disappointment, saying they were hoping for more, or at least a remaster. Some joke about the performance issues on the Switch port, saying it reflects Rockstar’s business practices. Others inquire about the inclusion of the undead DLC.

Others, however, respond positively, stating that while Rockstar has made some questionable decisions in recent years, their previous games are still highly regarded. Some suggest playing the game on PC through emulation, while others express confusion and question the purpose of the re-release.

Red Dead Redemption price

Many users criticize Rockstar for the high price for a 13-year-old game. “$50 for a game from 2010 is outrageous,” one user writes. Others suggest that, if the price were lower, it might be worth it, but at this price, it’s better to play other games.
