The Sims 4 Game-Changing Update
The Sims 4 has received a significant update that lets players choose the sexual orientation of their Sims and sets the foundation for more inclusive and diverse gameplay experiences. This is in addition to community-made mods that further expand on the sexual orientation options in the base game.
Edit Your Sim's Preferences
The Sims 4 update includes the ability to edit your Sim's gender and sexuality preferences in the Create-A-Sim menu. You can now set their romantic interests, WooHoo or Mess Around interests, and exploration preferences.
These options are split into three categories: romantic interests, physical relationship interests, and exploration options. While the base game has a limited number of options, The Sims 4 LGBT Mod provides more specific sexual orientation options such as lesbian, gay, transgender, bisexual, and asexual.
You can edit your Sim's preferences in Live Mode by clicking on a mirror and selecting "Change Sim." If you'd rather have the game randomly select a sexuality for your Sim, click the ellipsis button (...), then click "Automatically pick." If you'd like to manually choose a sexual orientation, click the button with nine dots.
A community-made mod by Fluffly follows the same steps as The Sims 4 LGBT Mod, but includes more diverse sexual orientation options.

If you want to know the sexuality of other Sims, you can check their Sim Information panel. You can also befriend them and edit their preferences in the Create-A-Sim menu.
If you want to know the details of your Sim's relationship before you even start playing, you can also use cheats to make them romantically interested in another Sim of choice.
