A Cities: Skylines 2 announcement was met with both excitement and speculation, as developer Colossal Order and parent company Paradox Interactive tease fans with limited information about the sequel to one of the best city-building games. While we wait to find out more about Cities: Skylines 2, we have the announcement trailer below to keep us going.

All we have at the moment is the Cities: Skylines 2 announcement trailer and confirmation that the sequel to one of the best city-building games will be available on multiple platforms – but we don’t yet know when it’s coming out.

The trailer showcases potential improvements and additions, but we’re still waiting for more information about what we can expect from the highly anticipated sequel. There’s no release date yet, and we don’t even know which platforms will support Cities: Skylines 2.

That said, we don’t really need much more to get us excited about the possibility of a new Cities game. The original is one of the best strategy games, and set the standard for what a good city-building game should be – so the fact that we’re getting a sequel is enough to generate buzz.

Paradox Interactive keeps the Cities: Skylines 2 release date under wraps for now, but we do know that it’ll be available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Beyond that, we’ll have to wait to find out more.

Take a look at the Cities: Skylines 2 trailer below:

The wait for more information may be a little longer than you’d like, but we’ve got everything you need to know about the original game here, including the Cities: Skylines mods you should check out, and the Cities: Skylines building restrictions you need to follow.
