Mortal Kombat fans push for Sektor and Cyrax to be playable in MK1

Mortal Kombat fans are pleading for Sektor and Cyrax to be included on the main roster of MK1. The cyber ninjas are currently only Kameo fighters, meaning they’re available in the full game but can’t be played as. Now, the community is urging Ed Boon, the series co-creator, to reconsider their status in the game.

Boon mentioned Sektor in a tweet, and fans are hoping for an official reveal soon. However, they’re also pushing for the character to be playable in the base roster or Kombat Pack 2.

“Yeah, Sektor is in the game,” Boon says in response to a fan, who mentions the character’s name in a comment on a recent gameplay video.

“He’s a Kameo, but I’ll see what we can do. Maybe he can be playable in Kombat Pack 2,” one fan replies to Boon’s tweet. “Mortal Kombat X Triborg + Sektor? Please,” another adds.

“Sektor and Cyrax playable in the base roster,” a third fan says. “Kombat Pack 2, please. Any cyber ninja representation,” another adds.

Being a Kameo doesn’t exclude characters from the main roster, as seen with Sub-Zero, Kung Lao, and Scorpion. The main roster reveals have also been done by faction, so playable Sonya might be revealed during an Earthrealm segment. The same could apply to the cyber ninjas, so be sure to stay updated closer to the game’s launch.
