Mortal Kombat 1 Invasions Mode Revealed

Mortal Kombat 1 marketing has primarily focused on character inclusions, but a new single player mode has reportedly been revealed ahead of the fighting game’s release date. Called “Invasions,” the addition seemingly allows you to travel through the Mortal Kombat realms and fight seasonal invasions.

A pre-order retail listing in Brazil went live earlier this month, and though it was swiftly taken down, a datamine of the MKStore site has apparently confirmed the name and provided a brief description.

“Invasions” sounds like a mode that will periodically update and could perhaps resemble the World of Light mode in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. With this new information, we can expect more details in an upcoming Kombat Kast episode. The show will also showcase characters like Smoke, Ashrah, and Geras, so it looks like this could be a big episode.

Before this leak, a separate one suggested Shujinko may be one of the last cameo characters to be revealed. The insider making the claim has previously accurately leaked information about other characters in the game, so fans of Shujinko may be disappointed if the leak turns out to be true.
