Ranking Mortal Kombat's Best Guest Characters

Mortal Kombat has featured numerous guest characters over the years, and we're here to rank them all. From classic action movie icons to more recent characters from other fighting games, these guest fighters have brought excitement and nostalgia to the Mortal Kombat series.

Carl Weathers - Jax's Skin in Mortal Kombat X

Known for his role as Dillon in Predator, Carl Weathers makes an appearance as a skin for Jax in Mortal Kombat X.

John Rambo - Mortal Kombat 11

Sylvester Stallone voiced John Rambo in Mortal Kombat 11. While he had decent combos, his gameplay variations lacked impact.

Kratos - Mortal Kombat 9 and Mortal Kombat 11

Kratos, the PlayStation exclusive character from God of War, was a solid character in Mortal Kombat 9. However, he faced similar flaws in Mortal Kombat 11, with limited impactful gameplay variations.

Leatherface - Mortal Kombat X

Leatherface from the Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise had a strong variation and two weaker ones in Mortal Kombat X. His hatchet and chainsaw combos made him a force to be reckoned with.

Freddy Krueger - Mortal Kombat 9

Freddy Krueger, one of the first horror icons to appear in Mortal Kombat, had fast and deadly combos in Mortal Kombat 9. His power made him one of the most overpowered characters in the game.

The Predator - Mortal Kombat X

The Predator made his appearance in Mortal Kombat back in MK2, but his MKX appearance was the most memorable. Despite impressive design details, his lack of impactful gameplay variations affected his overall performance.

The Terminator - Mortal Kombat 3 and Mortal Kombat X

The Terminator first appeared in MK3 and made a comeback in MKX. Despite his slow movement, the cybernetic enemy had deceptive fighting abilities and devastating combos.

Joker - Mortal Kombat 11

Joker's best iteration in Mortal Kombat is undoubtedly MK11. With phenomenal speed, range, and superb voice acting by Richard Epcar, Joker's design and abilities are top-notch.

Spawn - Mortal Kombat 11

Spawn is one of the most highly anticipated guest characters, and he did not disappoint in Mortal Kombat 11. With phenomenal speed, range, and rich combat abilities, Spawn is a formidable fighter.

Jason Voorhees - Mortal Kombat X

Jason Voorhees, one of the most popular slasher icons, was a formidable opponent in Mortal Kombat X. With three variations offering unique abilities, Jason was a force to be reckoned with.

RoboCop - Mortal Kombat X

Despite his slow movement, RoboCop proved to be a formidable foe in Mortal Kombat X. Thanks to his zoning abilities and deadly combo strings, he was a tough opponent.

Alien - Mortal Kombat X

Alien made its return in Mortal Kombat X with three variations, each with different playstyles. The brawling style of the Xenomorph, the summoning style of the Neomorph, and the keep-away style of the Deacon offered diverse gameplay options.

Despite the numerous Predator-inspired skins for playable characters, the actual Predator only appeared in MKX. Given its popularity, it's surprising that the fighter hasn't appeared in more Mortal Kombat games.
