Mortal Kombat creator Ed Boon has recently expressed his desire for Nintendo to feature Scorpion and Sub-Zero, two renowned characters from the Mortal Kombat franchise, as playable fighters in the upcoming installment of Super Smash Bros. This could be the closest we get to witnessing a Mortal Kombat vs. Smash Bros crossover, at least for now.

In a recent interview with Express UK, Ed Boon was asked about his preferences for characters in Super Smash Bros, to which he responded, "I would love to see Scorpion and Sub-Zero in Super Smash Bros. They are beloved characters within the gaming community, and I believe they would be an excellent addition."

Scorpion and Sub-Zero are undeniably two of the most recognizable and beloved characters in the Mortal Kombat series.
