Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Coming Soon

Metal Gear series sales have now hit 60 million as Konami announces plans for a Metal Gear Solid PC port and a new Metal Gear Solid Master Collection. The Metal Gear Solid Master Collection, releasing in October, will include multiple Metal Gear games with bonus material like screenplays and music.

In a recent corporate update, Konami explains its focus on “Creating New User Experiences.” The update outlines the results of the company’s recent business review, which reports strong Metal Gear sales.

“As of March 2023, the Metal Gear series has sold 60 million copies and generated cumulative sales of 1.02 trillion yen,” the report says. That’s 60 million total sales since the series launched back in 1987 and 700,000 more sales since the last corporate report, despite no new game releases.

Konami plans to “extensively increase the availability of the Metal Gear series,” and will release the Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 1 on October 24. This bundle includes multiple Metal Gear games alongside bonus material like screenplays and music.

It’s uncertain whether all the games in this bundle support keyboard and mouse, but Master Collection Vol. 2 would follow, potentially bringing Metal Gear Solid 4 onto PC. Check out the full list of games in the Master Collection below:
